I am the co-founder of Joy's Eco Lodge and Wellness Center of Jamaica, and Sunrise Villa Guest House of Jamaica. I have been bringing guests to Joy's Eco Lodge for 2 years now. I love hosting this activity because it gives me a chance to show people an authentic Jamaican family history, and share our food from our family land.

Ms. Julia cooked us a delicious meal. Learning about duwayne’s family and to experience how people live in the hills of Jamaica was very interesting.

Duanne is a lovely guy but his tour needs some refining. The start time/pick up time wasn’t clear, he had limited knowledge on vegetation, we spent a lot of time alone just sitting in a living room as they prepared lunch, etc. The best part was swimming and driving through Jamaica. It’s a great idea and I hope Duanne will fine tune some areas.

This tour is great if you're interested in learning about the rural Jamaican countryside, away from popular tourist locations. We enjoyed learning about the history behind the land and tasting the fresh plants and vegetables--although unfortunately, some crops weren't available during our tour. Duwayne, who has a very unique background and a great sense of humor, was a pleasure to talk to and handled the entire day including transportation, ending with a trip to a beautiful river.

My group had a great time! We appreciated hearing about the history of the farm in Duwayne’s family, and his plans for it! The food that was prepared was delicious, and the swinging from the Spanish bridge was fun!

Stellar experience. Be sure to wear sneakers! Chop a coconut in half and learn about the abundance of Jamaican vegetation on a small family farm or jump off a rope swing into beautiful blue waters. Well worth the cost.
