What you'll do

We will meet at The Museum of Floral Culture, where I am the founder and director. A brief tour of the museum will provide you with the basic understanding of the Thai floral culture. You will learn about its philosophy, the climatic contributions and the foreign influences. You will learn about the different forms and techniques of the art with the flower symbolism that conveys positive/negative messages. After the tour, you will learn how to wear the traditional Thai red Jongkrabaen (See photo Gallery), getting you ready for the workshop. (Please bring your own shorts as undergarment.) We will then proceed to the traditional Thai pavilion in the lush tropical garden of the museum where the workshop will be conducted. *If your workshop falls in the first week of the month, you will learn how to make 'malai' or Traditional Thai Garland. *If the second week of the month, 'Phan Poom' or Pointed-dome Arrangement. *If the third week, 'Takhai Dokmai' or Floral Net. *If the fourth week, 'Baisri' or Offering Made from Banana Leaf. *If the fifth week, 'Krathong' or Floral Floater. After the floral creation, enjoy a delicious homemade 3 dishes set lunch with fruits and flower tea.

The workshop will be held in a traditional Thai pavilion situated in the garden of the museum.
