What you'll do

*Green Dream Tours is committed to safe tours during Covid. We check temperatures, require masks, limit group size for social distancing, and do most wine tasting outdoors.

After your pick-up, we will head north to cross the Golden Gate Bridge and stop for a photo. The vista from the bridge will give you a bird's-eye view of San Francisco's waterfront and the downtown skyline.

As we head toward Wine Country, I will share a little about California history and the importance of the wine industry.

Our first winery will highlight the influences of Mexican immigrants at Robledo Family Winery. Reynaldo Robledo came to Sonoma in 1968 seeking a better life, and now lays claim as the first Mexican immigrant vineyard worker to open a winery and tasting in the United States.

Next stop will be Nicholson Ranch, where you will stroll the vineyards and learn about sustainable growing practices. This estate winery sits on the Sonoma-Napa border at the crossroads of four esteemed wine growing regions and boasts incredible views. Bring your camera.

Lunch will be at Napa's Oxbow Public Market, which features locally sourced food. There will be time to explore downtown Napa and its tasting rooms!

The last stop is Bouchaine Vineyards, the first Fish Friendly Certified vineyard in Napa Valley. The vineyard views here are amazing and so is the wine!

It's okay to drink wine on the ride back
Other things to note
Dress in layers. The weather changes between San Francisco and Wine Country. There is no dress code so dress comfortably. We also suggest wearing comfortable shoes; there's minimal walking but you will have some free time on your own for lunch at Oxbow Public Market in Napa.

I love wine and the San Francisco Bay Area. One of the best things to do in San Francisco is wine tasting. To help make that happen for people like you, I started Green Dream Tours in 2008. I hate big-bus tours as much as anyone, so my tours only go to small, boutique and family-owned wineries. My passion extends to finding the greenest wineries in Napa and Sonoma, which lead the world when it comes to sustainable winegrowing. That’s notable and worth exploring! The tours are as green as possible, too. For example, to offset the emissions, I buy carbon offsets. I like to think my tours are more like going wine tasting with a friend, who is also the designated driver, planner and winery encyclopedia. Napa and Sonoma have more than 1,000 wineries so most people need help to fully experience California’s Wine Country.
