We'll meet at the meeting point and then take the public transport (Metro) to visit the neighborhood of la Merced. At La Merced we'll walk through the aisles and had a traditional Mexican breakfast (Quesadillas with or without cheese, Tlacoyos or Gorditas) after you'll have the opportunity to try different types of mole, Mexican fruits, vegetables and the best tacos in the city.

Also we'll venture into the aisles dedicated to medicinal plants, magical items, and various other items that demonstrate the syncretism of beliefs and practices that exist in México.

For the end, we'll take public transport and visit San Juan Market, which specializes in gourmet and exotic foods. Here at my place at he market we'll taste grasshoppers

Hola soy Ho: foodie, amateur chef, entrepreneur, acroyogi, dog lover, and engineer. I have guided friends and tourists for 8 years through the markets, street stalls and cantinas of the city. For me, the best way to get to know a culture is through its traditions, food & spirits.

Aremy: Born and raised in Mexico City, I consider myself a Chilanga with Tehuana heritage. My mother is from Oaxaca and she taught me the love for our traditions and the culture of our country.

Geo: City born city raised I love being outdoors and exploring new places love boxing and cycling couldn’t live without both and a great taco here and there

Ho was an amazing guide, and I had a wonderful time on this tour! Going through the expansive markets with a local made the experience so seamless and enjoyable! I would highly recommend this tour!

What a fantastic tour! Ho did a great job helping us see and taste three HUGE markets in Mexico city. We never would have been able to do this on our own because Ho knew the best vendors and the specialties that we needed to try. It was also a huge maze, but Ho did a great job leading us through. Very unique experience - highly recommend!

It was such a wonderful tour! We really, really enjoyed our time with aremy. She was such a great host and took us on local markets off the beaten track - things we for sure wouldn't be able to explore on our own! She has such a wide knowledge of the history of Mexico and introduced us in cultural and culinary things. The tour is the perfect way to explore the local culinary of CDMX! Thanks a lot! <3

My husband & I kicked off our first time in Mexico City and we are so glad we did so with Ho. Both introverts, we were nervous about interacting with someone new for the day. However Ho exceeded our expectations. He was informative, kind, and also knew when to “tag along” so that my husband & I could enjoy the time together. We will come back to Mexico City and recommend our friends to Ho’s tour.

Ho is super engaging, thoughtful and knowledgeable. He inquired about our personal interests and what we may want to see or experience while on our market tour. The food selections he shared with us were delicious and things I would not have tried without his guidance, so that was really fun. Also, he includes three markets on this tour which each have unique identities and histories. This was definitely a worthwhile experience!

The tour with Ho was incredible! I did not expect to learn so much and eat so much!!! Each market was different and navigating them alone would not have made for the same experience. Ho is really knowledgeable, knows the markets well, and he was a joy to hang around for the day. This was definitely a highlight of my trip!
