What you'll do

The perfect socially distanced experience for the whole family. Reduced group sizes of six allows for a safe and fun time for all. Private group tours also available for any number of people within your pod.

This breathtaking 2 mile walking tour of San Francisco's hidden stairways is the #1 rated Airbnb Experience in the Bay Area, loved by both locals and tourists alike.

See gorgeous mosaic tiled steps and hear the stories behind them, then take in stunning 360° views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Park and downtown San Francisco. You'll also discover beautiful neighborhoods and gardens that many locals are not aware of and that tourists rarely see.
Oh, and you might even go home with a succulent!
I'll provide commentary, context and some history along the way.

Generally SF is dry May-October. There can be fog in the summertime, mostly in the morning. Temps rarely above 70F (21C) or below 50F (10C). Rain may cancel.

Guests should be reasonably fit. Though we don't cover many miles, some of the terrain is steep. It will be necessary to carry small children as strollers are not suitable. If you bring a guest that’s under 18, it’s your responsibility to make sure the activities they participate in are age-appropriate.

I'm a native Irishman but a 20 year resident of San Francisco who adores my adopted city and loves showing it off to locals and tourists alike.

A former marathon runner, I know the city's best views but now prefer a more moderate hike on gorgeous stairs! This walk is done at a leisurely pace & suitable for most people.

This was a great experience! It wasn't just a tour of staircases but a history of the neighborhoods and SF in general. He was so personable and thoughtful and full of information, even about the succulents we saw! Even though I have lived in the Bay Area for many years I have not seen the area we explored! My friend was concerned the pace might be too fast for her but it wasn't. He would stop and point out things and never expected us to climb the stairs without pausing. We even got wonderful photos that he took! You will not be disappointed!

This tour/hike was a great time: fun and informative with SPECTACULAR views. Greg was a great host - his knowledge of San Francisco and the history of the mosaic staircases was very impressive. Furthermore, he was friendly, fun, and helpful in taking pictures for us As someone who has lived in SF for 10 years, I was concerned whether the information the tour provided would be simplistic for a local and geared more to out-of-town tourists. That was not the case, as Greg's knowledge was extensive and very interesting regardless of if you are local to SF or not. Additionally, due to the pandemic it can be challenging to find activities that are safe to take part in. This Experience was perfect in that regard: we booked a private tour for my girlfriend and I, and since everything is outdoors it felt nice and safe. Greg was also helpful in being safe and cautious to make sure we felt comfortable. Overall, this was a great hike that I will recommend to friends/family in the future!

Great value for money! Awesome views on the walk and some great info that you won't get and enjoy as much by just googling it.

We LOVED this excursion. Greg was an amazing guide - set a good pace for the walk, told us a lot of cool information about the city, and was overall very friendly and easy to talk to. We asked a lot of questions, and he knew the answers! It was really cool to see all over the city from tall heights, and then later on our trip we would visit the places. Greg gave us some succulents to take home with us! Overall, an awesome trip and we got some really good pictures! Thank you Greg!!
