What you'll do

At a pre-arranged time, either morning or afternoon, I will meet you at a meeting point to drive to the best beach to complete the surf lesson.

For morning sessions I aim to start the lesson around 10am. For afternoon session I aim to start around 2:30pm.

We've found our spot, set up our umbrella, we get changed into our wetsuits, and I deliver the safety and theory part of the lesson and get your practicing your pop-up before we grab the board and jump in the water.
Other things to note
Flip flops and extra water always advised!

My name is Rachid. I grew up in Taghazout, one of Morocco's surfing hubs. I learned to ride the waves as a child on a body board, but when I was 9 my father bought me my first short board which fueled my passion for surfing.

Before opening up my own surf camp and school, I spent over 10 years teaching, coaching, and guiding surfing along Morocco's coast. I spent some time in England to become qualified as a Level 3 ISA Surf Coach and Lifeguard.

Having surfed pretty much all my life, I know every surf spot and how the weather conditions can affect each point differently. Affectionately, I am known as the Surfing Cupid, because I inspire beginners to fall in love with the sport, and intrigue those who already love surfing to experience the best surfing Morocco has to offer.

Where you'll be

Morocco's West Coast is mostly sandy beaches. Of course some of the best views is from the water! No surf spot is more than 10 min from the last, so even if we have to spend a bit of time looking for the most suitable spot, we will have passed by some amazing scenery.

100% of the surf lessons take place on the beach.
