What you'll do
Like I enjoy local meals with local people when traveling abroad, I would like you to try our local food and drinks in Kyoto with your local host. If you like drinking, I am sure you know what local alcohol in Japan is. Yes, sake! As your local host, I will bring you to a casual standing sake bar which has many kinds of sake and good Japanese food, like sashimi (raw fish), kushikatsu (deep fried vegetable and meat with a stick) and so on. They have umeshu (plum wine) and other alcohol too. It is possible to see and taste what Japanese food we eat with sake or plum wine. It is located in a quiet residential area of Kyoto, not a busy area with a lot of tourists. Let's go drinking and find your favorite sake. Since I speak English and Japanese, I will help you to talk to the staff or other customers there.
Small Japanese dishes
3 glasses of sake or other alcohol, juice or soda
I have visited 13 countries and I'm an English teacher since 2012 and a travel blogger since 2015. There are three reasons why I love traveling, which are communication with local people, to experience their own life style and having the local meal. Having local meals with local people is super fun. Therefore I write my unique experience such as what food I eat, what cultural difference I find and what conversation I have with local people on my blog. People treated me well. Likewise, I would like travelers to Kyoto to enjoy stay with local people, which is why I am here to be your host.
