What you'll do
This is a family-friendly experience, kids 10 years old and younger come FREE (just let me know how many they are for logistics). There will be a quiz for them along the way to keep them interested and engaged! Explore the Roman Empire, an adventure in London before London! Roman funded “Londinium” 2,000 years ago and built a small Rome in Britain. They built an amphitheatre for games, temples to pray, spas to wash and meet up, heated houses with swimming pools and mosaic floors and a defence wall against the local Celts and Anglosaxons. A well connected town with the rest of the Empire, London was at the heart of the North European trade system. All this without internet and phones: just wooden writing tablets!
I am Italian and learnt about Roman history all my life. In Italy we are surrounded by Roman heritage, it's part of our culture. I have been amazed to discover how much of the 2,000 years old Roman Empire is still visible and can be experienced in London and I am thrilled to share it with you! Please note I have received a 2-year CPR & First Aid certification from the Red Cross (issued Sept. 11th, 2019).
