What you'll do
After arriving at The Pirate Castle (yes, we really are based in a castle beside the canal!), you'll be greeted by a member of our crew who'll take you down to the canalside and boats to wait for the rest of the group. Once on board, you'll be introduced to your skipper and crew and be given a brief safety talk before setting off on a gentle cruise along the Regent's Canal. Routes may vary but typically include in a short tunnel, Little Venice and Camden's famous lock before returning to The Pirate Castle. To give you a real flavour of boating, you'll have the chance to try steering the boat or help work the locks - or simply sit back and watch a different side of London unfold in an ever-changing canalscape. We operate two boats: 'Pirate Prince' is a fully accessible, wheelchair-friendly widebeam (with accessible toilet). Contact us to discuss requirements for disabled guests. 'Black Pearl' is a traditional narrowboat. Both boats are comfortable, with lots of outside space to enjoy the sights. Your cruise will take place on either of the boats. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the scheduled start time. Latecomers will not be able to join once the boat has departed.
Help yourself to tea and coffee during your cruise (let us know if you require non-dairy alternative to milk when booking)
