I am a Dublin barrister an author and historian. I want to bring you on a fascinating journey from medieval Dublin to the present day visiting along the way the magnificent buildings and meeting the most interesting characters associated with the law, all have have their own incredible story to tell. You will see the grandeur of Gandon's buildings, the misery of Green Street courthouse and Newgate prison and what remains of the once finest Georgian street in all Dublin. Walking behind our Tipstaff you will hear about the great and the good, and the downright bad. We will all be 'Learned Friends' for the occasion and legal practices and protocol will be observed. You will be engaged, you will be enthralled, you will have fun but most of all you will have a great experience.

Where you'll be

We start within the walls of the old city reliving life at law from the very beginning, walking to the quays we view The Four Courts. On to Henrietta Street we visit Kings Inns the only intact Gandon building in Dublin. We cross to Green Street where we will have an audio experience, hearing Robert Emmet's speech from the dock, and listen to Lord Norbury sentence him to death. Coffee in the snug of a legal pub heinous trials will be revisited.
