What you'll do

The Beaujolais Region of France, just outside Lyon, is known for its picturesque "golden stone" houses, hilltop villages, and rolling hillsides filled with local vineyards. Join Marisa, an adopted local (originally from the US) for a day of discovery that will be a feast for the eyes and the palette. Marisa can pick you up from the nearest train station mid-morning. From there, you'll head into the Beaujolais hillside for a custom walking itinerary that will involve wandering through medieval streets, trekking through vineyards, and enjoying the local sights. Along the way, Marisa will tell you about the home she's fallen in love with and share her experiences of what it's like to be an American living life in the French countryside.

Dave

Marisa fell in love with France when she was Jr. High School in the United States. Since then, she’s made France her life, including an undergraduate degree in French, a Masters Degree of Teaching (French, primarily), and two stints living in-country. Her latest adventure (this time with her family of 5) has lasted 3 years and was even featured on House Hunters International. She’s always happy to tell you more about why she loves French culture and the French people and why living in France has changed her perspective on what makes a healthy, happy life.
