What you'll do
This is not just another tour to Viñales. We won't take you to farms already set up for tourists and people packed local attractions.Instead we'll explore on a gentle walk the heart of the Valley where cars can't access, passing by tobacco fields and other crops stopping along the way to meet with rural farmers and sample some of their fresh produce. We'll visit the farm of Don Pepe. His descendants have farmed the same plot of land for five generations. We'll learn about the largely unchanged traditional methods of cultivation that has made Habanos cigars a prime exportation for Cuba. And we will enjoy lots of good stories about the country life style. Our experience involves a cigar rolling demonstration plus the chance of tasting craft made cigars. A real treat! We'll devote more time to explore the Valley by foot and those who want to go for even more fun can join Jorge, a genuine Cuban cowboy, for a leisurely horseback riding experience. Our adventure continues visiting Papita's Coffee farm. The charming Papita will share the secrets of a long family tradition. Lunch will satiate all of your senses, even for vegetarians, with a memorable farm to table home cooked meal.Do not miss the rarely visited, unspoiled cave El Farallón with impressive fossils and carstic formations. If time permits we'll visit a local private botanical garden before enjoying the laid back town of Viñales
I'm proudly born and raised in Havana but half of my heart is in the Viñales Valley where my extensive family lives. I have traveled some of the world but always found good reasons to come back to my roots. I have a Masters in Political Science and Photography is my hobby. I’ve been organizing and leading tours throughout Cuba for 20 yrs. I like to focus on Cuban history and culture, experiences off the beaten track and helping people to understand what makes the Cuban people so unique and special. My tours are both educational and fun (lots of fun). During the tour, we will talk about history, culture, religion, politics and of course traditions in the Viñales Valley. I truly believe in responsible tourism and try to stay away from tourist traps thereby providing more meaningful connections with the local people.
A delightful lunch at Papita's Coffee farm where we will be served a large variety of organic fresh vegetables, fruits,…
We'll stop sometime along the walk for a fresh juice or tasty refreshing local cocktail

Where you'll be
We'll meet Don Pepe on his farm surrounded by peaceful quiet, and look upon dramatic Mogotes (limestone rocks) and listen to the singing of local birds. And what better time to enjoy a refreshing local drink! That’s on us! Fun and interaction continues while we tour Papita's coffee farm. A family to fall in love with. And lastly, feel like a real discoverer when adventuring into the cave “El Farallón”, still untouched by humans.
