What you'll do

Upon departing Puerto Del Rey Marina, you'll enjoy the beautiful views of the Cordillera Islands as the mountains of El Yunque fade into the distance. After about 45-50 minutes on our high-speed power catamaran, we'll arrive at one of Culebra’s beautiful reefs. We'll eat a pre-packed lunch on the boat and enjoy beverages while you sunbathe. Our usual beach stop destination is Flamenco Beach, but occasionally our captain might choose Culebrita, or another one of Culebra’s spectacular beaches, depending on the conditions for the day. We'll spend the rest of the afternoon there swimming, beachcombing, and sunbathing.

It was a great experience. My friends and I are not the best swimmers but the crew made us feel safe and comfortable getting into the water. There is a unique style of “ubering” from the catamaran to the beach that I think anybody will enjoy especially with friends. If you get motion/sea sick this might be a bit difficult for you. I got a bit dizzy after lunch but it’s so much fun that I recovered fairly quickly and the crew is really attentive about those things! 10/10 recommend!

Customer service didn’t meet our standards. Reason why? I felt rudeness, low tolerance towards guess, and pushy empowerment towards passengers. Being more tolerance towards others from my end could’ve left you a better review. Food not great, views to nature amazing, boat ride very accurate. Equipment very good. Drinks where fair.

This was a pretty good experience for me and my lady. We made our way to Flamenco beach on Culebra island and got to swim about 100ft to get to the beach to relax and what not (8ft deep water where we anchored). It was really beautiful. The crew was really cool and helpful too. If you didn’t have time to make a trip to Culebra island and/or just want a quick visit, then you will enjoy that part of the experience. What took away from our experience were the drinks/food, the timing, as well as the price. We finished the trip about 15 min early (no big deal), but keep in mind the time it took everyone to get on the boat(10-15min) + travel time to the island is 45-50min (each way) so about 2 hours of the experience is travel time…and that is if the Captain decides to go to Culebra that day. Not sure what everyone else was tasting in those drinks but they DEFINITIVELY were not all that. It was just a couple shots Don Q + some watered down juice(or juices if you decided to mix) all in a cup filled to the brim with big ice chunks which watered it down some more. Smh. Not tasty at all….and yes, we tried ALL the juices. Food was lackluster as well, but we were still grateful for it. They did have other snacks as well. The swarm of flies were also a nuisance…could’ve been solved with covered trash bins… When it comes to the price…all in all this was not worth the money. The price for both our tickets + tax would’ve covered 3/4 of a full day/night stay on Culebra island. There are other experiences similar to this that are on AirBnB and other websites that are more affordable. We DO NOT regret our experience…we are grateful, however next time we will just take a day to go to Culebra or even Vieques. That is my honest review.

If you’re considering doing this, do it. You won’t regret it. This was my second time going out with East Island, and the experience has only gotten better each time. This is something I’ll do every time I visit PR. They’re super organized, very helpful and responsive, and even provide transportation to and from the marina for $20/person. Which is A LOT better than an $85 Uber there and back. The crew on the boat is professional, knowledgeable, attentive and easy going, and they’re always a lot of fun to talk to. Lunch and lots of beverages provided.
