What you'll do

Book a farm tour with us and you will get to meet the animals & go into some pens to cuddle goats. We can go on a tour of the farm starting in the farm yard. Our animals are housed in different units so we will walk between the units seeing other animals as we go. Where safely possible we will get you into the pens with the goats so that you can give them a cuddle and a scratch whilst taking photos. We will provide feed so you can hand feed the goats and sheep - maybe even the alpacas, although these are more reserved. Each unit houses different groups, some will have kidded, some may be getting pregnant, some due to give birth and some may just be chilling. We have old goats, young goats, retired goats and pygmy pets
Other things to note
If you are unsure you wish to go into pen with animals - don't worry as we can be behind barriers if that makes you more comfortable. Frightened of birds ? Just let us know! Not got suitable clothing -we've got plenty of spare kit! Whatever you want we will try to achieve!

As a teenager I wanted to go to agri college but my family insisted I got a "proper job" so I trained and qualified as an accountant, bought a derelict bungalow with 1/2 acre, did it up and.......didn't live happily ever after! I had a daughter in 1999 who had long term health problems, her father left me and I ended up moving to the Highlands, re-marrying and now have 42 acres! The passion for farming and the outdoors never left me so we ceased renting the farmland out, bought some sheep, then some more sheep, then some goats and then some more. Eventually I realised that I could buy more stock and my husband didn't really notice so now I have around 100 sheep, 2 alpacas and around 300 goats. Once you exceed 50 or so it's much harder to count! I'm still an accountant - just now I'm a goat farming accountant.

Where you'll be

The experience takes place at our farm, Campbell Cairns, in the heart of Speyside Whisky country. Our goats may be inside, outside or both. We will walk between the housing units to see different groups and we will talk to you about each one. We will be able to feed the goats, sheep and alpacas and you will be able to take photos with them. We can take you into pens with some of the animals and you can give them a stroke and a scratch.

We had a brilliant afternoon getting to visit the farm and meet all the goats who were all so friendly. Our 20 month old girl loved wandering about and made a friend with Dora :) Thanks again Julie

This experience was great for anyone that likes goats 😁 There were lots of chances to pet and feed goats and find out all about their personalities. We had a great afternoon and would definitely recommend.

What a wonderful experience! Really fun day out if you love animals and really like to get stuck in! You learn a lot about the farm and the animals themselves. Really thoroughly enjoyed myself!
