What you'll do
Welcome to the Dolomites - I'm Manu and I'd love to help you experience these majestic mountains, off the beaten path!
We will meet in the lake town of Alleghe (although alternative meeting points or even pick-ups can be arranged), and from there, drive a short distance away to reach the trailhead.
The hike is negotiable by most people with a decent level of fitness, much better if with some mountain hiking experience under the belt - but don't worry : no vertical rock walls or insane exposures, just a phenomenal 360° view of every notable peak or range in the Dolomites! In fact, after gaining quite a few hundred vertical meters through forest and alpine tundra, you will find yourself on top of an extremely panoramic, yet not crowded, summit.
You will gaze over Marmolada, Civetta, Pale di San Martino, Cristallo, Antelao and many more peaks, without the crowds of the flagship locations every tour stops at - allowing you to fully enjoy nature at its best!
Last but not least, during the hike - which will take anywhere between 5 to 7 hours, depending on level of fitness and breaks taken - I will snap some pictures of you with my semi-pro camera (which I carry all the time in the mountains, weight nonetheless!) to leave you with some very personal mountain memories to bring home and share.
Are you ready for some hiking?
Other things to note
The hike doesn't involve any sort of climbing, via ferrata or any technicality. You will hike though , for the very last section, on a rocky summit, so you may want to be comfortable with hiking in at times steep mountainous terrain.

Over the last 8 years I've been travelling the world, doing anything from cruising around the U.S.A. for 6 months living in a car, to trekking in Nepal, Norway or New Zealand. My favourite activity in the meantime? Hiking, possibly in mountainous terrain!
I came back to my native Italy and decided to explore as much as I could our mountains. I have been chiefly hiking and backpacking, but also snowshoeing and doing some via ferrata in the mountain ranges between Lombardia, Veneto, Trentino Alto-Adige and Friuli Venezia Giulia.
I have been to all of the 5 continents, to 30+ countries in the world, to 30+ national parks in the U.S.A., but believe me: I still have to find a place where, like here, so much beauty is concentrated in such a little space!

Where you'll be
The mountain area we will hike is nestled among some of most notable peaks of the Dolomites - mighty Marmolada, unmistakable Civetta, beautiful Pale di San Martino and many more. Still, luckily it doesn't (for now) suffer these places' crowds.
Alleghe is a charming little lake town located an altitude of 1000 meters. It is a great place to get the mandatory morning coffee or the essential calories-replenishment of the afternoon.
