What you'll do
If you want to experience the bounty of Victoria come on a Saturday and I’ll introduce you to my favourite people and things at the lively and colourful farmers’ markets around town! The Basket and Bicycle Tour is a mashup of all my favourite things about the city - its rich history, beautiful environment, one of kind local island food culture, and foodie education. On this tour we’ll visit 2 unique farmers markets in different urban neighbourhoods while making sure to take in streets overflowing with gardens, ocean vistas, and beautiful parks. This tour is for biking, tasting (the likes of gourmet chocolate and spirits made from honey), meeting artists and artisans and treasure hunting for food and/or gifts for yourself and loved ones, and even stopping by Emily Carr’s former residence (she’s the mother of modern art in Canada). A stop for some yummy ice cream can even be arranged if the mood strikes you. This tour runs on Saturdays only because that's when the island farmers visit with their bounty and bicycles and helmets are included.
I am best described by others as personable and fun to be around. As a former Apple employee, and software trainer for the automotive industry, I think that biking is the bomb. I’ve toured people by bike from around the world before in Vancouver and now in Victoria where I operate my own bike tour company. I share my life with a pug named Lucy. In fact, it’s her and I that research the city together for new experiences to offer visitors that make them feel like a “local in the know.” And when I’m at home, I like taking care of my houseplants. Ride with me and feel freedom and fun on a bike!

Where you'll be
You’ll visit most of the neighbourhoods you’d want to visit on a city bicycle tour but get time to see, smell, and taste the things locals would want to do on a bicycle ride. Some things you’ll see include: The Parliament Building, Inner Harbour, Emily Carr House, Beacon Hill Park, Dallas Rd . James Bay Community Market, The Moss St. Market, and Victoria's historic Chinatown. Depending on the time we can add a few more things.
