What you'll do

You might know a little about the process of making sake and have tasted some types of sake at breweries. On our sake tour we will first visit the birthplace of "Miyamizu" which is the essential water for breweries in this area. The breweries in Kobe also use this water. This tour then takes you to a sake museum where you can take a look at the traditional sake making style. There are workman's livery coats for visitors to use so that you can take commemorative photos. Then we will visit three breweries and taste various types of local sake including "Daiginjyo" and "Ginjyo". At the last brewery, you will get a chance to taste three glasses of seasonal sake and a small potion of food. Everyone will also receive a souvenir at the end of this tour.

Learn more about Yu

Yu

I was born and raised in Nishinomiya, which has long been known as a city where Japanese sake is made. When I studied abroad as a student, I got the opportunity to look at Japan from overseas and became interested in the culture of my own country. And now, I manage a gourmet community of over 150 people. Through the community, I have met liquor store owners and brewers. Those people, who are professionals in the sake industry have taught me a lot. I continue to learn about sake by tasting and talking with professionals. I am sure that such knowledge will help me in my understanding of sake.
