Kaixo! Hello!
I am Jon, your guide.
I am from Zarautz, a tourist guide and I adore this area that I have walked a thousand times. I love the mountains, photography and history.
It will be a pleasure to show you my two favorite towns and their corners that I have walked and admired so many times. I will tell you who we are and where we come from, about our whaling and maritime exploits as surfers.
My town is my home, we all know each other here, it is usually like that and you are going to experience it like one more local.

I have traveled to more than 25 countries and although there are very beautiful places, I have to say that my land is unique. Let me show you.

Are you coming?

Great! Let´s start then!

Bobby and I had the most fantastic day with Jon, he was one of the best tour guides we've ever had! From the moment we met him at the train station, we knew we were going to have an amazing day. His attention to detail and knowledge and love for the Basque countryside, people & language is wonderful to see. We felt as though we had known him for years! The winery was beautiful and we loved seeing the local produce at his hometown market. Even after the tour was finished, Jon helped us find a local restaurant. Thank you again, we would highly recommend this experience to anyone!

Jon's energy and passion for people and the Basque country make you want to be a better person! I felt like I was in the middle of a travel documentary- sampling cheese, wine, and seeing all the local people light up when they saw Jon. He knows everyone, and is loved by them. His deep personal connection to the town made me feel like I was experiencing a rare glimpse of living in the Basque country. I absolutely LOVED this tour and recommend it highly.

We had an amazing time with Jon. He has an amazing personality and really makes you feel welcome. The hike gave us the most stunning views that we would never have seen otherwise. I highly recommend using Jon as your local fixer for anything you need. Jon curated another trip for us after the hiking trip, which was just as personalized and great.

Jon was a phenomenal host and tour guide. The experience exceeded our expectations and was a very authentic and pleasant day with someone very passionate about their heritage and area. We would highly recommend this for anyone wanting to experience a local Txakoli wine farm and the other beautiful sites along the way.

Jon was absolutely fantastic. So much so that after this experience I hired Jon to take me to other places in the Basque region for the remainder of my stay. More than a guide, Jon has become a great friend in just a few days. His high energy is contagious as he throws out suggestions for activities you didn’t even know existed and he is very flexible. I will be sure to hire Jon again on my next visit!
