What you'll do

Architectural masterpiece of Gothic and Renaissance inspiration, the Benedictine Palace was erected at the end of the 19th century in honor of the Benedictine liqueur by Alexandre Le Grand, a Fecamp wine merchant, who had found a recipe in an old grimoire, drawn up in 1510 by a Benedictine monk.

This eclectic building promises visitors an unexpected experience of discovering Bénédictine.

The route begins with the exploration of the museum which houses a rich collection of sacred and ancient art, linked to the legacy of Benedictine, and which also presents its industrial history.

The tour then leads to the only Benedictine distillery in the world, where the hammered copper stills dating from the 19th century are located, then to the aging cellars.

Finally, visitors will be able to enjoy a tasting of Bénédictine *.

My name is Elodie and I am a senior guide at the Benedictine Palace.

It has been ten years now that I have taken pleasure in showing visitors this extraordinary setting but also its famous liqueur!

Although the result of training as a historian, the passion that drives me for the extraordinary history of this place and this product naturally led me to take an interest in production techniques.

In this process, my colleagues and I were able to initiate ourselves, with the cellar master of the Palais, into the secrets of this complex recipe.

Observe, smell, taste ... In short, awaken your senses in order to rediscover and reinvent Bénédictine, this is what we learned from a renowned passionate mixologist.

Today, it is with pleasure and pride that my colleagues and I share this enthusiasm.
