Our tasty tour of Clonakilty visits a wide range of food producers from meat, cheese, ice cream, beer, chocolate, bread and of course the wonderful Clonakilty Farmers’ Market. This guided tour with food writer Kate Ryan will connect you to the people, places and stories that make the award winning town of Clonakilty such a vibrant foodie hub. This tour is an ideal opportunity to meet the producers, learn about their food story, history and traditions – a chance to get a real sense of the people behind some amazing, and often times unique, food being produced in the town.
Kate Ryan is a food writer, blogger & founder of Flavour.ie a website that is dedicated to promoting West Cork Food through writing, events and tours. Kate is also the author of "A Taste of West Cork - Artisan Food Guide”. Her original Clonakilty Walking Food Tour focuses on the themes of History, Tradition, Innovation and Community as she guides visitors from across the world around the creative and vibrant town of Clonakilty introducing visitors to the town’s unique food heritage. The tour is approved by Faílte Ireland and is featured as a “Hidden Gem” on the Wild Atlantic Way.
