What you'll do

I have a passion for sustainability & Perfecting crafts that most people seek on the outside. With my guidance we'll create an original small-batch wine using traditional home brewers equipment So that you can learn this new skill in a fashion that you can duplicate at home. You will learn how to mix ingredients & additives, prepare fruit & more. We’ll cover making a batch of wine start to finish from sanitizing to pressing, adding the special touches & so one ! Once our new batch of wine is complete we will “rack” a currently fermenting wine & of course give it a taste! We will conclude the lesson portion of the afternoon w/ bottling an already finished batch of fruit or grape wine depending on the season. I feel that bottling will truely give you a scope on the entire process start to finish. Since we prefer to use primarily our own organic ingredients we also make wine according to the seasons, Early summer may be a berry wine , late summer apple wine ,or a pumpkin wine in the fall. At the end of our adventure , we'll enjoy a veriety of Big House wine that is already finished & aged either down at our New York style pub or out at the tiki bar Depending on the weather.
Other things to note
This is a working homestead with two dogs , cats and chickens as well as friends coming and going who are all very friendly.

I am a full-time homesteader living in suburbia.I previously operated a gift shop where I would ofen host events w/ complimentary homemade wine & cheese. After I had my fill I opted for seeking out the simple life .As part of the homestead life I have been making wine for over 6 yrs, aside from growing my own food & making my own homegoods. For the last 15 months I have offered classes coving all aspects of this enriching hobby In preparation to possibly pursue licensing for the purpose of selling to my guests who often ask to buy. I look forward to sharing my experience with you!Cheers!
