Born in Saint Aignan in France, it was in Brussels that I grew up. Granddaughter of a seamstress and daughter of a decorator living in Belgium, I was immersed in color, shapes, materials and creation from my childhood. My atypical journey has led me in turn to study, work and live in the United States, France and Germany. My passion for glass and stained glass developed around twenty years ago in Audrey Otterbein's studio in Germany. My training continued at the Center Belge du vitrail Pierre Majérus in Brussels, at the workshop of master glassmaker Patrick de Jager in Antwerp and at the Academy voor Beeldende Kunsten in Anderlecht (ABKA). Having been a teacher for more than 10 years, it is natural that I love to teach stained glass, to share my passion and the magic of glass.

This was an AMAZING experience: thanks to the expert teaching techniques of Marie-Laurence, we were able to produce a wonderful stained-glass bird in a couple of hours, like magic coming out of our hands. We are complete neophytes but it seemed simple enough, and we actually managed to produce a couple of hanging coloured birds that we chose among a zillion patterns that Marie-Laurence could propose to us. I can only recomment that everyone even remotely interested in stained glass techniques, or in Art Nouveau and Art Deco, comes to this workshop to discover how beauty is produced. I will now certainly re-experience this technique, because once you know the basics that Marie-Laurence teaches you, one can sart dreaming about endless shapes and colours to create. Thank you so much Marie-Laurence for giving us this expertise. What a special day for us!
