Martin grew up on a family farm in Switzerland where he learned all about apple farming, flavours, varieties and of course cider making. From his father to his great-great-grandfather, they had always made Farmhouse Cider in big barrels underneath the house, making Martin a 5th generation Cidermaker.
As recently discovered during a trip back home, Martins ancestors had been heavily involved in the apple and cider business since 1384: The family name 'Rellstab' derives from the Swiss word for a fruit milling stick which is also depicted in the family's code of arms.
Martin had been experimenting with sparkling Cider in the years he was running the family farm in Switzerland. The beautiful pearling Cider was delicious and refreshing, and always enjoyed at family gatherings and festivities.

We had a great time. Martin was friendly and knowledgeable. The cider was terrific. The various types quite distinct so tasting them along with the explanation of how they are made was really fun. And we met nice people there. We will be taking visitors there in future I'm sure.

The tour was nice and small, very relaxing and Martin was very open and honest about all aspects of his family-run business. I was happy to hear that they use Australian apples to produce their cider. It was a lovely morning and I would recommend the tour.

What a great tour, learning about and tasting the most delicious traditionally made Swiss Cider. Being French and Australian, we appreciate this style of cider very much, which is hard to find in Australia. And using Qld 🍏 apples to produce this product on the Sunshine Coast sits well with our ethics. And solar energy on the roof too! I also have to make mention of your Apple champagne. This was a beautiful flavour and I prefer it to French champagne! Definitely advise buying some bottles of these to have handy for a celebration. Thank you for an interesting and memorable tour and taste. All the best.

The tour is quite an experience, especially the part where you get to taste each of Martin's cider creations. He explains the steps of how each cider is made, and then you get to compare every cider and how individualized the taste is from each other. I highly recommend this tour to everyone.

What a fantastic tour! Martin was extremely knowledgeable and provided some great information. All of the ciders were beautiful and very different to what you normally see at the bottle shop. The champagne takes the cake though and I will definitely be back for more!

Such a great experience! Martin is a very passionate and experienced cider maker. He clearly loves what he does. His story about how he came here is wonderful and it’s great to see him supporting Queensland farmers. His cider is delicious and the tasting sizes were great! I would recommend anyone to go and support him, it truely is hand crafted cider.
