What you'll do
Ready, Steady, GO! Starting from the town hall, we’ll run into the old town to catch the first views from Porto and Gaia (the other side of Douro River). Crossing the old town we’ll shortly reach the Douro river to enjoy it, appreciate some Street Art, and then the heart of the city, Ribeira, where the city was born and stands the D.Luis iron bridge, designed by Gustav Eifel. Well it’s time to return, and the only way to do it is going upstairs…let’s do it! At top of the stairs, we’ll find the Cathedral and the narrow streets leading us to the gorgeous S Bento Railway Station witch walls are covered up with the traditional tiles. Still, with enough time to cross Downtown and its shops which are already open and the streets full of people, we are almost at the end of our tour. And that´s it! Back to the starting point, the Town Hall. It’s time to refill our energy with a well-deserved breakfast, and discover the rest of the city!
My name is Francisco, I'm 46 years old and I have lived in Porto all my life. I am an experienced and passionate runner. I started with small runs just to keep fit but it quickly became a passion, as it might have happened to you too. What I have to offer is my knowledge about this city and some of its unknown streets.
