What you'll do

We start our day with a scenic drive to Cape Point via Muizenberg, Kalk Bay and Simons Town to the Entrance of Cape Point. Penguins - We will arrive at Boulders Beach, before the crowds, to view the African Penguin at one of only 2 land based colonies. We will have an opportunity to view their social interactions and breeding behaviour as well as get some great up close photographs. Lighthouses and the Cape of Good Hope - After the Penguins we will visit the most South-Western Point on the African Continent, Cape of Good Hope before heading to Cape Point. Here you will get to admire the view and spot the two lighthouses. Lunch will be taken and you will be able to enjoy incredible views over False Bay. Hike - We will then escape the crowds and end our day with a moderate 2 hour hike in one of the remote areas of Cape Point. The hike will focus on the unique floral diversity and history of the area. We finish off the day with a scenic return to the Cape Town via Noordhoek and Chapmans Peak drive. (If Chapmans Peak is closed we will return via Ou Kaapse Weg)

I am a born and bred Capetonian and a qualified Nature Conservator and Guide. I am very passionate about the Biodiversity of Cape Point. I have over 7 years experience working for Table Mountain National Park, 5 of which was spent working in the Cape of Good Hope Section. My knowledge ranges from the history of the area as well as which animals are found in the Park and which you might encounter. I also have a good knowledge on the plant species in the Park and I aim to give guests some insights into the Fynbos found here.
