What we’ll do

We’ll walk around Edinburgh’s less busy, cobbled, winding, and historic streets, taking in the best independent coffee shops the city has to offer. We will start by visiting one of Edinburgh’s finest wee coffee shops for take-away drinks, and then visit some spectacular Georgian and Victorian buildings that are of national historic interest (and not on the tourist trail). It's Scotland! Be prepared for all weather - rain, wind, snow, and/or sunshine. We will be walking 3.5 miles (5.6 km) over 2.5 hours so wear comfortable walking shoes and clothing.

Where you'll be

We will start with a great coffee in the East End by exploring Edinburgh’s affluent New Town – an UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will visit an historically listed Georgian then Victorian building, then following another coffee break we will head towards the West End visiting independent shops, while learning about 18th-21st Century Scottish history, architecture and culture. After a final coffee break, we will finish in Princess St Gardens.
