What you'll do
Hooray, the snow is here! Let's hike in a winter wonderland together, basking in the fresh mountain air and Utah's famous "greatest snow on earth," hiking in Bell Canyon at the base of Little Cottonwood Canyon to see the commanding mountain rock walls and overlook the Salt Lake valley below. We will meet at the Bell Canyon Trailhead, hike up to the reservoir, hike around the reservoir and up to a quiet nook for a snack break and then hike back down. We might just spot one of the native mountain goats who graces this area.
Join me for a beautiful day hike to see snow covered trees and mountain beauty (including beautiful Bells Reservoir currently as an ice field).
This hike is beginning/intermediate and lasts about 1.5 to two hours. I know the area very well as I trail run all these paths frequently in every season.

I grew up loving these mountains. I trail run in them every season, mountain bike, ski, and camp in them. This is a beautiful spot on planet earth and I would love to share it with you. I like meeting new people and different cultures.
Although I grew up here, I've travelled many places, lived in Idaho, Virginia, England, backpacked Europe, and taken a convoy of supplies across Europe to Bosnia when they were war torn. I have never tired of Utah and enjoy backpacking and exploring southern Utah when I can.
My husband and I have five children. We love hiking and biking together as a family. I help coach my kids' mountain bike teams.

This was an amazing experience for our family! Kirstin was flexible and adjusted our hike for our 7 year old. The views were amazing and Kirstin was more than willing to take amazing photos for us. The hot chocolate and snacks were a perfect touch. We loved getting to chat with Kirstin on the hike. I would definitely recommend this experience, especially for out-of-staters like ourselves, who don’t get to see snow on a regular basis.
