What you'll do

We'll embark upon a journey whereby we get you to a mystical place, where we'll delve deep into forrest, enjoying the song of the birds and the gushing sound of the gorge underneath us, walk along the gorge, looking down at the amazing waterfalls and taking pictures of it.
Then we will get to an ancient "staircase", where we need to climb down, using the ropes alongside the "stairs" and once we get to the bottom, we'll gaze upon an amazing gorge between the rocks covered with moss, crystal clear water, cold as ice, but a place looking like a haunted scenery out a fairy tale.
This is Finnich Glen, that locals thought of being a place of the devils, an isolated and remote looking area, that gives you the chills and excitement in the same time.
No wonder this place has been used as a scenery for the Outlander movie.
For those brave ones, who want to get further into the glen, you can roll up your pants and get into the water (warning: extremely cold) and walk along and see an amazingly mesmerising world in front of you.
Other things to note
A good head for heights is necessary as it involves climbing down some slippery stairs, holding onto some ropes and rocks

Hi ! My name is Ferenc and I am a very outdoorsy person, love to travel, hike, scuba dive and discover the hidden treasures that nature has to offer. I have been hiking and diving around Scotland since years and by now I can tell that I have been to lots of remote islands and places, that not a lot of tourists know about. Most of them do not have any signs posted of their whereabouts, but I can show you the way to the most amazing hidden places, that you can only imagine coming out of a fairytale. So, let me be your guide and give you an experience of a lifetime.

Where you'll be

The Devil's Pulpit is an amazing looking place that only the locals know about where to find. It's part of the Finnich's Glen, deep into the forrest, with an ancient "staircase" leading down to it.

Weird looking rock formations surrounding the gorge between them, water flowing like blood, taking up the crimson colour of the ground, this mystical place is like no other, hauntingly beautiful, postcard perfect as some would say.

I visited this magical place with Ferenc as I knew it was hard to find and to access. I dont regret it ! It was actually worth the price. Ferenc was very thoughtful and helped us a lot to go through the tricky bits. Definitely recommend it !

ferenc was very helpful and warm, definitely made my journey smooth! I wasn't very well adapted to the cold waters but it's worth it!

I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to get out of the city and see more of Scotland’s beautiful nature scene. This place really does feel magical! After reading reviews I had a good idea of what to expect. Ferenc made sure that we were safe while climbing down to the Devil’s Pulpit and I loved every minute of it!

Ferenc was a great guide to the Devil's Pulpit. He made me feel comfortable going down steep climbs, and knew the gorge extremely well! I had a lot of fun!

it is really a hidden gem away from the the main city centre. At first sight we thought going down to the Glen is an impossible task for us as it looks so risky and scary. Thanks to our guide Mr. Ferenc for making this possible as a piece of cake for us. Steep descents, wet green rock enclosures, ice cold blood red water streams, weathered rock formations, peeping sun light...oh wow really it's a Devil's Pulpit.

Excellent experience. Highly recommend for anyone who is without a car and is looking to get out of the city to enjoy a very unique nature adventure, without having to fuss over the logistics of public transportation. I felt very comfortable with climbing down to the heart of the glen with Ferenc's guidance. He will also become your personal photographer with great joy.
