What you'll do
Sing and play accessible music-making for people with learning disabilities with David Stanley (Music Man Project founder), make new friends and connect with a unique international family through music.
Teaching live at the piano, David will explain his unique approach to music education and performance.
Beginning with easy-to-learn welcome songs, David will take you through the standard musical repertoire enjoyed by children and adults with learning-disabilities at Music Man Projects across the world.
He will show you the signs, actions and dance moves, and teach you to sing and play catchy and expressive songs that he has written for his students over the past 20 years.
You will meet other musicians from The Music Man Project, including the famous Music Man Project Student Ambassadors who appeared in 2019/20 National Lottery 25th birthday TV advert: “3 is the magic number”.
Regardless of ability, you will enjoy the experience! You will be ‘enabled’ to join hundreds of Music Man Project musicians, choirs, professional performers and celebrities at David’s next major concert.

I have worked in the disability arts industry for over 20 years as campaigner, teacher, composer and founder and CEO of The Music Man Project - an award-winning music education service for people with disabilities. I was awarded the Medal of the Order of the British Empire in the 2021 Queen's New Year Honours List and I am a Churchill Fellow, Paul Harris Fellow, Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Global Peace Ambassador. I studied at the Guildhall School of Music, King’s College London, the Royal Academy of Music and the Institute of Education. My teaching is the basis of PhD research at the Royal College of Music. I have enabled my students to break a world record, perform to Royalty, appear in a TV advert and perform to sell-out audiences at the London Palladium and Royal Albert Hall. I have taken my services around the world.
