What you'll do
Head into the funky Fremont neighborhood and take a seat in Book Larder's intimate teaching kitchen for a special cooking class. We'll discuss Seattle's unique food scene and I'll cook up a full meal inspired by iconic dishes from Seattle's culinary giants. Menu includes: The Canlis Salad; Renee Erickson's clams with creme fraiche and herbs with Sea Wolf toast; and Lark's chocolate madeleine cookies with Theo chocolate dipping sauce.
Born and raised in the Seattle area, I am the culinary director at Book Larder, Seattle's only cookbook shop. I got my start working for Seattle restaurateur Renee Erickson, and have since worked abroad in Southern Italy, Spain, and Morocco. I love sharing my passion and expertise for cookbooks, food, and Seattle's restaurant scene.
Where you'll be
In a city with the most bookstores and libraries per capita, Book Larder stands out as Seattle's only store dedicated entirely to cookbooks and food writing. You'll have the chance to browse the shelves and consult with Book Larder's expert staff. It really is a lovely, intimate experience to learn about food while surrounded by cookbooks.
