What you'll do

Join me as we venture into the magical wizarding world of Harry Potter in London! We will journey through the city and learn the history of JK Rowling and Harry Potter in London.

On this walking tour of London's streets we will watch clips from the movies while I regale you with behind-the-scenes stories of those locations as well as the history of JK Rowling's time in London. Our first stop will be the entrance to Diagon Alley, before we pop down to see the Ministry of Magic, and find out which Leaky Cauldron has the best tacos, as well as others I don't want to spoil here.

I will also share some of the strangest, funniest non-HP facts I've learned about London along the way.

We will finish at Borough Market, London's top street food destination, with King's Cross just a separate Tube ride away.

PLEASE be aware the tour is offered in English only, and it is largely story-based, so a better-than-basic conversational grasp of English is essential.

While witches and wizards of all ages are welcome, due to the amount of walking and the content, I more recommend it for ages 11+.

Strictly one person per slot, group limit 12. No exceptions.

Step-free route for wheelchairs available, message for details.

This London street walking tour is not affiliated with the WB Studio Tour at Watford.
Other things to note
Every person (over 11yo) will need an Oyster card or contactless payment method with at least £2.40.

The tour contains about 90 minutes of brisk walking so make sure little legs are up for that!

Hi! We are Mark and Thor. Both stand-up comedians and Harry Potter nerds living in London. We've been taking guests on Harry Potter related walking tours for over five years now. Regaling people with behind-the-scenes tales of the movies, as well as walking in the footsteps of JK Rowling to try to pick her brain about the real life inspirations for her magical series. Our goal is to make sure everyone leaves with a new interesting fact, whether they're a Hogwarts first year or a prefect!

Where you'll be

We will see the filming locations for several scenes in the Wizarding World.

The entrance to Diagon Alley.
The Ministry of Magic entrance.
The Millennium Bridge.
And a few more I don't wish to spoil!

We will also be seeing some locations from JK Rowling's real life. Places that influenced her to create locations in HP's London, including the infamous Nocturne Alley.

I had a really good time on the tour. Mark is a really lovely host. It was great to walk around and see parts of London and recognize them from the movies. Mark is a well informed host and I learnt a lot of new things.

Mark was a great guide and knew a lot of interesting Harry Potter facts that I didn't know before the tour. The tour took us around to places I hadn't been in London as well. You can tell that Mark really likes Harry Potter and his enthusiasm made the tour that much better. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting London who likes Harry potter and wants some background on how it was created.

Great tour! Mark was very accommodating on switching our dates due to COVID-19 travel issues. We saw loads (mostly Harry Potter but he pointed out some cool London things as well!) and mark did a great job making the group interact with each other as well!

Such a great experience. I wouldn’t have seen or learned so much about London in general and of course Harry Potter if it weren’t for Mark. He was genuine, fun, and interactive. I definitely recommend!

Everything was great! Mark is a fun guy, he's friendly and heartwarming. He showed us some hidden spots. Also, he plays some scenes, so you can keep track. We liked especially the information about Rowling's writingprocess and inspiration.
