What you'll do

I will pick you up at BUS STOP NUMBER 8, next to the big Church, Hallgrímskirkja, downtown Reykjavík.
We visit Reykjavík for about 1 hour. We will visit the downtown area, and you will learn all about the history, culture, food and Icelandic customs. We visit the harbour, the parliament, city hall, Hallgrímskirkja, Höfði, the Sun voyager and Perlan. After touring Reykjavík, we head to the Blue lagoon. Blue lagoon is about 30 minutes drive from Reykjavík, situated in a beautiful lava field. You get about 3 hours to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. The Blue lagoon was once nominated as one of 25 wonders of the world by National Geographic. Please remember bathing suit!

PLEASE NOTE, that Iceland is one of the windiest places on the planet and during winter it is very likely windy on the tour. We have a saying here "there is no bad weather, just bad clothing", so, please take all the layers you own on your tour to Iceland, and don't let the weather ruin your trip, just enjoy and feel the weather :)
Other things to note
Transportation to and from the Blue lagoon is included, Reykjavík sightseeing, and a comfort ticket to the Blue lagoon, that includes entrance, 1 drink for free, a towel and silica mask.

My name is Helga Bára and I am a geologist. I founded a travel agency few years ago, because I love travelling and being with people from all over the world. Most of the tourists that come to Iceland visit the Blue lagoon while here so I have made a tour that includes a Reykjavík sightseeing tour and a relaxing 3 hours in the Blue lagoon.
My cohost is Stone, who is a landscape photographer and an adventurer. He has biked most trails that exist in Iceland and probably knows Iceland better than most people. We look forward to host you :)

Where you'll be

We start in the city centre, the parliament of Iceland, Althingi, which is the first parliament in the world. We stop at Hallgrímskirkja church, at Höfði, where the meeting of Ronald Reagan and Gorbatjov marked the beginning of the end of the Cold War. We visit the Sun Vouager artefact. Perlan is the last stop before heading to the Blue lagoon. We spend about 3 hours in total at the Blue lagoon. We then return to Reykjavík.

Helga is a wonderful guide! She is knowledgeable and passionate about Iceland and the beautiful nature there. We did our tour with her on our last day and although we had been on other tours, she still took us to places we hadn't seen yet. She knows all the spots! Obviously, the Blue Lagoon was wonderful on it's own, but Helga was very precise with getting us in quickly and gave us flexible time and space to enjoy. We never felt rushed because she planned out everything well. She gives you the perfect balance of being informative while also giving you personal space to enjoy independently. I would highly recommend booking her!

We had a great time with Helga: she's super nice and gives lots of useful information about her homeland. I don't usually do touristy things like the Blue Lagoon and wasn't sure about the whole experience, and it clearly exceeded my expectations. Best host, nice group, good vibes :) Just go for it!

Helga is very knowledgeable and passionate about all things Icelandic. It was her goal to make sure we had a great time and there didn’t seem to be a question she couldn’t answer. The Blue Lagoon certainly exceeded my expectation- what a relaxing and fun experience that was. A must do for anyone that comes to Iceland. Helga has a few tours that she organizes I would recommend them all.

I’m so happy I added this to my trip. Not only was the blue lagoon amazing and super relaxing, Helga made the experience even better by adding her own personal touch. She shared history of landmarks around Reykjavik, along with her own personal life stories that made the trip so special. If you’re going to the blue lagoon, this is definitely the way to do it!

Once again, Helga was an amazing guide. The Blue Lagoon is the most popular tourist (other than the active volcano right now) around Reykjavik, but Helga always makes the trip relatable and personable. She also takes you to see some famous buildings and landmarks in Reykjavik before heading out to the Lagoon. You get to relax and have drinks at the Lagoon for 3 hours and it was great. Although, I did get a knarly sunburn, but that's because I didn't think about bringing sunscreen to ICEland. Lol.

Helga was absolutely amazing! This was my first time booking a Air bnb experience and I’m so happy I did. In between travel expenses and the ticket for blue lagoon, the price is good considering she provides it all and personalized insight on the culture. Would definitely recommend. I am glad I did it.
