About your host

Hello! My name is Haruko, which means "sunny." I love the sunshine, Hawaii, Mt. Fuji, and of course my home town of Tokyo. I was born, raised, and currently live in Tokyo. For about 20 years, my job was singing and dancing as a musical actress. I also teach dance classes for little kids, grown up adults, and seniors between 70 and 80 years old. People especially love my stretching exercises. Now…

What we’ll do

We'll start by saying hello to Hachi, the world-famous bronze dog statue. Then we'll cross the hot spot of the Shibuya Scramble Crossing. We'll walk to Yoyogi Park, where you will see one of the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic fields, and we'll do some stretching exercises. Take a deep breath and your body will be very refreshed. It will be welcome if you don’t do any exercise or sports. Just relax…

What else you should know

This experience does not include food or drinks. Stretching exercises in the park will not be held in bad weather conditions.

What I’ll provide

Equipment
Mat upon request

What to bring

comfort shoes and wear for walking and Stretch Exercise
mat or bath towel for stretch exercise
recommend: some drink (you can get from bending machine)
recommend: some coin for Monetary offering at Shrine

Where you'll be

I find that people get lost and cannot find the Hachi Statue in the Shibuya Station area—it is something of a maze, and even friends in Tokyo say it's too complicated. Mt. Fuji, Hachi the dog, and the Scramble Crossing are three things you must see when you come to Japan. Meiji Shrine is close to Harajuku, an area for young people, and the high fashion area of Omotesando.
