What you'll do

This Kaftan making workshop takes place in my office studio. Here we’ll get to know each other over local drinks, snacks and tunes.

We’ll also get acquainted with a proudly African fabric called Ankara or we use the chiffon fabric to create beaded embroidery which I'll show you how to manipulate into a one piece free style outfit.

Whatever you make you get to take! Great as a gift or a wearable souvenir.

-We will have refreshments of snacks and cold drinks...

-We will Create a beautiful Kaftan, while I introduce you to our organization and South Africa in general (if you'll like that)

This experience was amazing! Victoria was the best host and really took her time to explain what we were doing with the fabric. She has an easygoing personality that put us right at ease from the very beginning. And my fiancee found the details ofVictoria's non-profit journey to be quite inspiring. Overall, the experience was a great way for us to connect with new people, learn a new skill, and Express ourselves through design. I highly recommend!

This was a once in a lifetime experience making an African kaftan in Joburg for my daughter. I don’t know how to sew Victoria made it really easy for me to follow along and create something beautiful and unique. Her store was closed for renovations and I got to make the kaftan in her home which made the experience even more special. Victoria was a wonderful teacher and I really enjoyed learning about how she is using her skills to support women of her community. Please book!!!!
