What you'll do

Chianti is a magnificent region in Tuscany, it is well known for the wonderful landscapes. There is no better way to discover it than a nice walk through its hills covered with vineyards and olive groves. We'll leave in the morning just after a quick coffee and a drink, we'll walk into the woods and then up to the surrounding hills. Each season has different colors and smells, while hiking, with a little luck, we will find some small animals such as wild hares, porcupines, deers, badgers and maybe some wild boars too. Probably Rudy (our small dog) will join us during the walk and sniffs every trace in the area. After about an hour of walking (not too demanding) we arrive at a panoramic spot where our breakfast will be waiting for us. Then, a little tired but with our eyes full of beauty, we will enjoy the food and the view...

My sister Beatrice and I opened our house almost 30 years ago... we were quite young at that time :) We moved from the city to the country (about 30 minutes by car from Florence) and until now this was the best decision we took. We also produce the Chianti wine and Evo olive oil and even if sometimes the agricolture is quite hard, we love to see the results of this great work. We always try to encourage our guests to get to know the surrounding area and understand this beautiful region.

Where you'll be

Our path goes through the woods and the hills surrounding the farm. We will walk through woods of oaks and pines and then cross fields planted with olive trees and vineyard. These two crops are very important, the producing of extra virgin olive oil and Chianti wine is known worldwide for the great quality. In the morning the nature is at its best and a nice walk enjoying this wonder will help us to start the day in the best possible way.

Francesca was absolutely amazing, she made the walk feel really special. We’d stop and look at various fruits, herbs, and vegetables and she would tell us all about the plants and answer all of our questions. She also had a sense of humor so we got to joke around about the wild boar and other experiences. She also provided some amazing tips for getting rid of a cough/illness and let us take back some tea that she picked. She even gave us tips about our next destination and some things going on in the area. The brunch was amazing, perfect amount of food in a very quiet and scenic area. Everything was perfect.

We had an amazing time on our hike and breakfast in the vineyard! Our guide was amazing and had an extensive knowledge of the land. She did a great job of answering all of our questions and had a great personality. We took a tour through our senses on the hike and finished with a great breakfast with an even greater view!

An absolutely wonderful treck through the hillside woodland, vineyards, and olive groves. Genuinely unlike any other experience. Light exercise, with a stop now and then to drink some water, and discuss the flora and fauna of the area - usually from a culinary perspective. The air here will make your brain tingle there is so much oxygen. The breakfast as the end of the journey was delightful and of good proportion. Looking over the area you’ve just wandered. Absolutely stunning. In summer - I was glad to do this early as midday would have been much too hot. Thank you to our wonderful guide, for sharing her deep knowledge and experience of the area.

The walk was beautiful but it took us about an hour and a half just for the walk at a casual pace. If I had known I would have just set more time aside so we could enjoy the breakfast. The breakfast was also very good and at a private table on a hill.
