What you'll do

A walking & drinking tour of Bristol & our craft beer scene.

Drink like a Bristolian!

Come along on my sociable walking tour exploring Bristol & our ever growing excellent craft beer scene. You'll enjoy eight delicious local beers, all included in the price, most of which are brewed on the premises we're drinking them in.

In between enjoying a variety of beer styles in a microbrewery, two traditional pubs and a brewery tap room, I'll give you some interesting facts about Bristol's sights as we walk by and some tips on where to go on the remainder of your time in my beautiful city. We also pass a lot of street art on this tour, including four pieces by Banksy!

I'll give you the story behind each of the breweries that we try a beer from, except for the last stop. In this small brewery where we finish, it's usually Ema the head brewer who tells you all about his beers and how he makes them with a brewery tour. (he's extremely passionate about it and loves the rare opportunity my tours bring him to tell you all about it!)

Tours take three and a half to four hours and we go off the beaten track to find the hidden gems where the locals drink. Please be aware that the route is very hilly and has cobbles - flat shoes are essential.

I live in an area called Old Market in Bristol's centre.
Around five years ago a brewery just down the road opened up the first tap room in Bristol (a bar to showcase it's own fabulous beers). This was something I'd never seen before & it helped me fall in love with beer. Since then , tap rooms, pubs and bars selling an excellent range of local beer are popping up all over Bristol, creating a brilliant beer community.
I have made it my business to get to know the brewery owners, brewers and tap room staff, learning their story and watching their businesses grow. The breweries keep me up to date with new beer launches and beer events across the city.
When I'm not in a tap room or pub, you can find me watching a live band, camping or exploring my own city in the never ending task to find new places.

Where you'll be

The brewery tap rooms & traditional pubs are chosen because they are places I love to spend my time and enjoy their beer. We stop four times in places with very different atmospheres. If you tell me which you prefer I can then advise you where else you would enjoy to visit during your stay.

We meet outside the entrance of the Marriott Royal Hotel on College Green , right next to Bristol Cathedral. We finish In Stokes Croft, close to Cabot Circus

This was a wonderful tour with Heather! Heather asked us beforehand what kind of tour we preferred to have and we said we wanted to check out the local Bristol breweries instead of a more tourist route. We went to 4 different breweries and had amazing beers at all of them (and quite a lot of beer was included at every brewery!). Heather is very knowledgeable about beer and about local beer in Bristol. She knew all the staff at the breweries and we were introduced to several different brewers! It was a fantastic way to learn about Bristol and feel like a local for an evening. I highly recommend this tour! Thank you so much, Heather!
