What you'll do

Angora goats are gentle fiber animals. While shy and reserved, they offer us a chance to think about where our fiber comes from, who raises it, how it is processed and the destructive impact of fast fashion, and how we might evolve our own conscious closet. Come for a farm tour and learn methods to dye organically raised mohair fiber locks. We'll spend time exploring our urban homestead that employs regenerative practices for land and people. After, we'll have a brief introduction to natural dyes and the wonderous fiber of Angora goats: Mohair.

Kathleen & Richard

We have been raising our backyard herd for milk and fiber as an entree for urban youth and residents to learn more about their food, holistic grazing, and regenerative practice for everyday use. We teach urban agriculture to adults and children throughout the year and are active in the food policy councils in Los Angeles and Long Beach. All are welcome in our space.

For a full refund, cancel at least 7 days before the experience is scheduled to start or within 24 hours of purchase.

Communication policy

Always communicate through Airbnb. To protect your payment, never transfer money or communicate outside the Airbnb website or app.

Guest requirements

Up to 10 guests ages 10 and up can attend. Guests should feel comfortable in rustic spaces. There is hay, many different types of plants, and possible allergens.

You’ll need to take a picture of yourself that matches the photo on your ID. This is so Airbnb can confirm who’s actually going on the experience. You’ll only have to do this once.

More tips

Please be prepared to experience the farm - noises, insects, and smells. The dyeing materials may stain so we'll have aprons if you need one.
