I will host this with my father, Khalil. Born and raised in the outskirts of Cairo, he grew up in the kitchen along side his mother and grandmother. He studied pharmacy in Beirut, which sparked his interest in the combination of flavors in the kitchen and allowed him to experience different types of cuisine. Although he worked as a pharmacist for ten years, he continued to cook in his spare time, and enjoyed bringing the same patience and precision that is needed in the pharmacy to the kitchen. In 2013, we opened Lettuceat, a salad restaurant and a catering company.

Where you'll be

We will meet at my home in Nasr City. The house is located next to a local market where fresh produce are available on daily basis. We will visit it first then head to the kitchen to start cooking. My kitchen is the biggest area in the house and where I spend most of my time indulgently cooking.
