Dalmatia region and city of Split are famous for desserts ,cakes and cookies. My grandmother and my mother did sweet wonders from just a few ingredients as most women from these part did. Growing up ,they shared their knowledge and passion to me so I started to bake cookies and cakes at the age of ten. Being a huge fan of history, food and a tour guide for many years, I have studied and tried out hundreds and hundreds of traditional and contemporary recipes for desserts typical for Split region. Trust me, I practiced a lot !I Join me on this walk and find out what are the most popular cakes for holidays, why we put olive oil in dark chocolate and what are the special cookies we give to precious people in our lives. This is funny and tasty experience!

Jasenka was awesome on this tour. I'm not normally one for tours but having dessert stops throughout the tour and having Jasenka who is a great story teller made all the difference! She was very friendly and welcoming throughout the experience and was always happy to answer my questions. I was a solo traveller and the only one on this tour and it never felt awkward at any point! If you like history and have a sweet tooth this is the perfect combo for you.
