What you'll do

In this class you learn how to make the arancine, and you be fully immersed in making them. Our guides you step by step and teaches on different types of arancini, this class is designed for the Arancine lovers, as if there is more time Paolas will show you different types of Sicilian Arancine.
Arancine are stuffed rice balls that are coated with breadcrumbs, and fried.
Arancine are usually filled with ragu’ (meat sauce), tomato and/or peas. There are a number of local variants that differ in fillings and shape. The name derives from their shape and color, which is reminiscent of an orange (the italian word for orange is arancia, and arancina means “little orange”), although in eastern Sicily, arancini have a more conical shape.
Arancina is a Must of Sicilian cuisine, belongs to the category of street food.
It is a breaded and fried rice ball usually stuffed with meat sauce, even if there are many other variations.
The preparation of arancine requires a bit of patience and dedication but it is very funny and allows you to express all your culinary skills.
We will have fun :)

If you do nothing else in Palermo take this cooking class with Paola! An expert cook! She was warm, smart and provided so much to our stay. From the moment she greeted us we felt at home. She enhanced our stay by providing so many suggestions for restaurants and other experiences. Paloa is the real deal! She even drove us home! We are going back to New York with a ton of Italian cooking skills! Thank you Paola!

Grazie!

A very fun and informative session! Only thing is it might be a bit heavy for the first meal of the day, if it's not your first meal, you should be okay.
