What you'll do
Rise and venture out of town to the only ecological & experimental farm in the Basque Country and taste what they're producing! Save your morning pastry, this is one is on me and hop on the local train to a neighbouring town 11 minutes away. Once we get there we’ll walk to the farm for a hands-on learning experience where you’ll discover the amazing projects they have such as academic research, veggie boxes and an inclusive initiative that works towards social integration and employment for people with mental disabilities. On this tour you’ll learn about the history and culture of agriculture in the Basque Country, understand what harvesting ecologically means and most importantly you’ll get to eat fresh and taste the season's harvest surrounded by flowers and celebrate with a local drink.
I founded Eat One Feed One a small company that offers food tours in San Sebastian which aim to create a positive social impact on the city through local NGO's and associations. I moved to San Sebastian almost 10 years ago because of my love of food, I studied culinary arts and I am OBSESSED with everything related to food! Unfortunately I believe we still live in a time where there's plenty of social prejudice and, food is a language through which we can all connect, learn about a different cultures and enjoy together! This experiences is about taking a piece of the city with you and leaving something positive behind!

Where you'll be
We'll hop on a train to a neighbouring town called Hernani, mostly known for its cider houses. Because it's so close to the river that goes through San Sebastian this used to be an important stop for seafarers. This greenhouse is unlike any other in the country because it's 100% ecological, they work with an NGO which strives to include people with different intelectual disabilities and because the people who run it are amazing.
