What you'll do
Affectionately known as the ‘Culinary Queen of Goa’, I have delved into the influences that the Portuguese occupation (17th century) have left in local kitchens. In this interaction through a demo and tastings I will share the history behind the food How did these curries and masalas reach the traditional Goan table? The participation and the one on one interaction will create a great experience and with recipes shared at the end to explore the nuances of ingredients used. These are traditional grandmother recipes passed down through generations. The Inspiration behind these Goan favorites of seafood and during monsoons...meat….the red, yellow, orange masalas will be a mouth drooling experience.

A culinary TV host, author,critic, I won the ‘Special award of the jury 2008’ at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards for my first book 'Masci-the Man behind the legend'-also won by Julia Childs. My book-'the Culinary Heritage of Goa' was awarded the Best in the World for ‘Historical recipes’. I love to research our legacy and for that I've received Goa Woman of the Decade Achievers award (Woman Economic Forum) & Orchid women’s award for Art & Culture. As Co founder of the Goan Culinary Club, we preserve the heritage of Goan cuisine, with demos, talks and TV ‘food’ series.

Where you'll be
A glass of wine or juice as I recount all information on the 'how and why' of the recipes from old grandmother's kitchens, you savor the traditional flavors from the other talukas of Goa. Take home memories and stories .it is yours to question...myth of fact, the demo is in a modernized kitchen. We sit out in the garden, otherwise indoors to eat together at the end of the experience. Looking forward and enjoy the fabled Goan hospitality.
