What you'll do

I would like to invite you guys to be part of this experience. The idea is to drive around the Tijuca Forest showing the best viewpoints and also do short hiking to access one of the hidden waterfalls in the park.

Rio is world famous for its amazing views, landscapes and Its Incredible urban forest(the biggest in the world). For sure the Tijuca National Park is a must see in Rio. The main point of this tour is show the Best Spots and make the visitors few the vibe of this amazing forest in the heart of Rio.

We choose the afternoon time because it is warmer and in most days perfect to bath in one of the many waterfalls that the park offer. It is also the best light for taking pictures from the park to the city, making the experience even better.

In most days we can see some animals like: Small mammals, birds and in few cases snakes. We also try to spot some of the wild life.

If the date or the time you want to do the tour is not available and you have at least 2 people let me know and I can open a new date for you in the date you want.

Where you'll be

The largest urban forests in the world, was established in the 19th century to reforest the area affected by deforestation caused by sugarcane and coffee cultivation. Many years after In 1961, Tijuca Forest was declared a National Park. Besides many visitors who visit every day Christ statue that is inside the Park, many areas of the park still unexplored. Tijuca Forest is my favorite part of the city with the best views and an incredible nature!

On the day of our experience the road to the Christ the Redeemer statue was closed due to an earlier flood so we were unable to drive to the site. We attempted to take the train (we would have had to buy tickets) but it was very crowded due to the road closure. Instead, we spent extra time in the Tijuca Forest with our guide Rafael. He is a true outdoorsman and really knows the forest inside and out. We were able to visit every viewpoint, see waterfalls, and had some nice encounters with wildlife. We were disappointed to miss seeing the statue, but we were very satisfied with our day in the forest.
