What you'll do

I will lead you to walk around my neighbourhood for a little bit before I start the experience. I will show you my collection & the interior design of my vintage house. Finally I will brew 3 different kinds of Chinese tea with a unique tea set and let you as my guests experience tea brewing as well .

Chinese Tea Ceremony has the history of thousand years and has been practiced until now. The young Chinese generation in Penang is slowly forgetting about this important culture, they prefer to go to the cafe for western coffee but not traditional tea. The reason why I am doing this is to spread the beauty of the tea ceremony and how it can improve your lifestyle!

At first, you will learn about the basic concepts by knowing the tools you need and how to create your personal style tea decoration. Second thing is to learn how to appreciate tea and how to behave during the tea ceremony. Next, I will show you the full details of my movement to brew a tea, I will tell you why I do all the movement and how you will taste the tea.

Myself as a Professional Photographer i will also take some cool picture for you when you are brewing during the tea ceremony .

Book if you love tea more than coffee
Book if you love antiques & old house

I was born in this cute seaside chinese village and I stayed here for more than 3 years now. I was well known as an antique collector and tea enthusiast.

My fate with the tea ceremony happened when I met a young monk in Penang, he showed me a lot of different kinds of tea cups and teapots, from cheap to expensive. The whole thing just blew my mind, I never imagined that you could drink tea in such a ZEN way. I started to fall in love with tea ceremony and got crazy in buying tea cups, tea, teapots and other tools . I slowly learned about brewing from the monk friends.

Such a wonderful Tea Ceremony that takes you way beyond drinking tea, and you'd immerse yourself into lessons in life and learning about the Chinese culture. Thank you Wilson for everything! I totally recommend this experience!

What an incredible finish to our time in Penang and Malaysia. My brother and I were looking for something different to try at the end of a week-long trip through Malaysian Borneo and Georgetown / Penang, and the tea ceremony experience Wilson and Steven hosted was undoubtedly and unexpectedly one of the major highlights of our entire trip. It all started with the neighborhood, a sleepy and calming old fishing village in Penang, about a 25 minute taxi drive from the Georgetown area; then there was the venue, a lovingly restored, beautiful old apartment that Wilson and Steven have decorated and furnished with tremendous taste; then, of course, we enjoyed the tea brewing process itself (which I won’t spoil - much of the fun is the unfolding of each ceremony); and finally, but best of all, the hosts, who shared with us not only the techniques and tools of three distinct tea brewing and serving traditions, but also their passion and appreciation for the active meditative experience that a tea ceremony can be. My description can’t adequately express just how enjoyable and memorable this experience was. You should just go and discover for yourself!

페낭에서 제일 잘한 일중 하나인 것 같아요. 호스트분이 차에 대해 큰 애정을 갖고 있는게 느껴졌고, 직접 다도를 해볼 수 있어서 신기했어요.

Wilson's tea ceremony was an absolute delight. It takes place in his traditional Chinese home which is charming and full of eclectic interesting artifacts that he has collected. Wilson showed us 3 different tea ceremonies, each with a different type of tea and each in a different room in his wonderful house. He's extremely knowledgeable and clearly passionate about tea. As guests, of which there were 3, we each took part in the ceremony which was so lovely. Wilson, a professional photographer, also took photographs during our turn of serving the tea which is such a lovely touch and a perfect memento. I found the whole process truly inspiring, calming and I plan to learn more when I return to the UK. Thank you Wilson.
