What you'll do

We will walk the streets of much debated Kreuzberg, discussing controversies of independent and stubborn Berlin and cherishing its beauty. A city that can give you wings, but at the same time a place where you risk facing the monsters of your own soul. "And if thou gaze long into an abyss, the abyss will also gaze into thee". We will discuss the life of the local community and see how Berliners pro-actively change the landscape of their beloved city. We will try to find similarities to your home and figure out how to be a good guest wherever you go. We will reflect together on the concept of travel and refuge. We will discuss where do you feel most welcomed and I will tell you why I feel home in Berlin, so different and yet so German. We will talk about your best and worst travel experiences and I will share my stories with you. We will throw the coin to make decisions and I am sure we will laugh a lot!

Ekaterina

Grown up in Moscow, 10 years ago I started moving around - Russia, Germany, Holland, China and no plan to settle in one single place forever! After travelling extensively and working in tourism industry I am convinced - travel is wonderful, but travel is not a product. We have to reconsider the way we perceive travel and find out how to turn tourists into guests. I am delighted to show you my current home - crazy, creative, immensive, hard-working Berlin. A city that has transformed itself from a place of exodus into a welcoming refuge.

Where you'll be

We will be mostly walking the streets and spotting amazing details of ordinary life. We will PLAY mindful games to decide on the spot where to spend some more time - a trendy rooftop bar, cirular economy hub, a community garden with its cafe, Görlitzer park or a famous brewery next to a children zoo.
