I'm the founder and curator of the museum. I began skateboarding in 1964 on a homemade board built by my dad. I skateboarded professionally for a number of years and have skateboarded across America four times (1976, 1984, 2003, 2013). What we’ll do

Did you start skateboarding on a 2x4 with steel wheels? Guess what? There are even older skateboards than that! I'll share skateboarding's history with you, from 1920s scooters to the steel and clay wheels days of the 1950s and 1960s, and then through the urethane revolution of the early to mid-1970s. Where you'll be

The Morro Bay Skateboard Museum is located in Marina Square on the beautiful Morro Bay Embarcadero. At just under 1,000 square feet, the museum may be small, but it's packed with hundreds of vintage skateboards and some very skateboarding memorabilia.
