What you'll do
This experience is for travellers coming to Rome for the first time, and best done right at the start of your trip. You will learn how to easily navigate your way around Rome like a local. I will guide you through the beautiful chaos of this city, and you will learn all kinds of useful tips and tricks that will facilitate your stay - How to use the often confusing public transport, where to find Wifi spots, essential Apps and Maps, neighbourhoods to know plus what they offer, and most important of all, avoiding tourist traps and common mistakes so many first-time travellers to Rome make. We'll weave our way through the city's most beautiful districts like pros, passing main sites and then slipping off into lesser-known heavenly streets where we'll find treasures along the way - An arch built by the famous Michelangelo, an unassuming pastry spot, and a treasure of a cafe'. We'll travel on foot and by tram all the way to the Roman Forum, where you'll discover a charming district right next to the Colosseum. Here we'll enjoy a Roman pasta lunch at a little place off the tourist map, started by 2 Italian chefs. We'll conclude the adventure with a yummy Gelato in some crazy favours!
I LOVE travelling and decided to move to Rome over 2 years ago. Since my feet hit the ground, I have been uncovering the many layers of this city. Additionally, working for a Tour Operator in Rome has given me a wealth of insider knowledge about the city and travellers needs. From experiencing Rome as a first-timer 5 years ago to now living in the city like a local, I have the perfect perspective to guide first-timers through the city. I am a well-travelled, fun-loving expat-turned-local excited to share the knowledge I have with you, so you can navigate the city like a pro too.
