Lisboa, Portugal

Experience hosted by Ester

What you'll do

We will do an architectural walk of the Baixa Pombalina, the area of Lisbon destroyed in 1755 by the overwhelming earthquake and full rebuilt according anti-seismic criteria. We will discover why Lisbon is in the tentative list of Unesco to be recognised as a world human heritage site.
The downtown as you never seen!

The tour includes a coffee and a traditional appetizer: the sweet pastel de nata or a salty pastel, it is up to you!.
Other things to note

Great tour! I'd highly recommend booking with Ester; she is very knowledgeable about the architecture of Lisbon. The tour gave me deeper insight into the city, how people lived, and how the urban landscape has changed over time. She also was happy to answer random questions I had about Portuguese culture. I was glad I had taken a basic walking tour of the city already, as with Ester I could get much more in depth about areas that interested me. Highly recommended!

Ester is a true expert of Lisbon architecture, she explains everything with simple words, therefore the tour is perfect also for people (like me!) who don’t know anything about architecture. She knows very interesting details and hidden places and through her words you feel truly involved in Lisbon’s atmosphere and history. It is a super interesting tour!

Ester was very professional in her planning, she let me know exactly where to meet and was prompt in answering my inquiries prior to meeting. The tour itself was fantastic, her profession is in the world of architecture and she was extremely knowledgeable yet still personal and relatable in how she delivered the information! I would 10/10 recommend this tour.
