What you'll do

You'll check-in for your seaplane flight in downtown Vancouver's Coal Harbour, and you'll take a 20 minute scenic flight to Nanaimo BC, on Vancouver Island. Once landed, you'll meet us for your whale watching adventure! Onboard we'll introduce you to the Salish Sea ecosystem and wildlife as we cruise through the Gulf Islands archipelago in search of whales and other marine life. We'll share facts about the different types of whales that use the Salish Sea, including their natural history, and their roles in the marine food web. We'll spend a full hour viewing whales, and we'll provide real-time insights into their behaviors. Onboard catalogues are used to identify individual whales, and this data will be collected throughout the season and sent to the Centre for Whale Research, Keta Coastal Conservation, and the BCCSN. We'll wrap up our whale watching experience with an educational lecture on marine conservation which focuses on threats to BC orca, and conservation initiatives will be discussed. After your whale watching tour with us, you'll hop back on the seaplane for a beautiful 20 minute cruise back to downtown Vancouver. We look forward to having you onboard!
