Paint in a Chocolate Factory Art Studio

Experience hosted by Verona

3 hours
Includes drinks, equipment
Up to 10 people
Hosted in English

What you'll do

During our few hours together I will provide you with a 10" X 10" gessoed canvas, along with some acrylic paints and an apron to work in. I will familiarize you with my art studio located in the Old Cadbury Chocolate Factory, where you will have the space to explore painting your own canvas. I will be there to offer up some tips on how you might go about creating your painting and at the end of the workshop you will be able to take it home with you. Drinks (coffee or wine depending on the time of the day) will be served and, of course, some chocolate will be present for snacking on.

I am a professional painter and work with oil paint, wax and sand. My style is mainly abstract art, but I do figurative art as well.

In 1999, I was invited to apprentice with an art collective called, ‘Dormice’ in Europe. After 2 years of training in Austria and in Italy, I moved to Ajijic, Mexico to study encaustic painting. I more recently completed an artist residency in Assisi, Italy and attended the Vermont Studio Center Residency. You can see some of my work at www.veronasorensen.ca.

I would be very happy to bring some of my world to your world while you visit the city of Montreal.
